GreenCons Project Kicks Off: Empowering Adults Against Greenwashing

The partners of the Erasmus+ KA2 project GreenCons officially launched their collaborative work with a successful Kick-Off Meeting (KOM) held on May 21–22, 2025. The meeting brought together adult education institutions, NGOs, and sustainability experts to align on project goals, upcoming tasks, and the strategic roadmap for implementation.

GreenCons addresses a growing concern in today's environmental discourse: greenwashing. The project aims to:

🧠 Equip adults with critical thinking tools to identify and resist misleading sustainability claims.
🏫 Support adult education centers as frontline actors in promoting sustainable consumption habits.
🔍 Raise public awareness about environmental misinformation and build trust in authentic sustainability efforts.

During the KOM, partners reviewed the detailed work plan, discussed the methodology for upcoming research and educational tools, and set clear milestones for developing the Anti-Greenwashing Handbook, digital training modules, and local awareness campaigns. With a shared vision and strong collaboration, the GreenCons consortium is ready to foster conscious lifestyles and build resilient communities capable of making informed, ethical, and sustainable choices.
